I had my first abortion earlier this year. And to my shock I ended up pregnant again, only six months later.
Initially I felt ashamed and guilty, how could I have not learned from my mistake? It was my fault both times after all.
The implant made me bleed nonstop for months on end, and hormonal birth control makes me emotionally unstable. And my partner and I don’t use condoms because I thought I could use cycle tracking reliably.
It was 3 days before my period, I thought I was in my safe window. But my period never came, and the tell tale symptoms began.
I’m 24 and can hardly afford the roof over my head. And I’ve never wanted to be a mother. I knew without a doubt that I was going have another abortion. Because I’d had previous experience, this one went much smoother than the last.
Accidents happen, and abortion is a valid choice and a necessity for a happier and healthier world. Whatever the reason, you deserve to have a say in whether or not you carry a baby.

I’m so grateful that the option exists, I’m incredibly thankful to the providers that made it possible for me to continue living my life on my terms.
