I’ve had more abortions than the average person, 7 to be exact.
My stepfather is a ‘pro life’ advocate, petitioning outside of clinics, supporting anti choice politicians and going to the march for life.
But, when I was 11 he got me pregnant for the first time. You’d think being so ‘pro life’ he would be anti-abortion for me too?
Nope. He brought me some unregulated abortion pills. This cycle repeated 5 more times until I was 17 and left my family home away from him.
Though, if it wasn’t for those abortions I would have been stuck there or even worse. Which is why this year, at 22, I chose abortion for myself this time.
I believe the stigma around abortion and multiple abortions needs to be eliminated, especially when people don’t know the circumstances.
